Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (UOC-KP) (former Jesuits Church) (1 Hriunvaldska St.)
This ship-shaped and single-domed brick church was built in 1893 under the guidance of engineer Stanislav Kszyhanovsky. Today it is an architectural monument. In the second part of 19th century, the Jesuit Order restored its activities in the city. The Jesuits requested the magistrate to allocate a piece of land for them. The allocated territory was distant from the city center and became a perfect place for the development of the parish, which was built on the site of the four old manor houses, during the railroad era in the city.
Under Soviet rule, the church was used as an archive. In 1998, on the request of Archbishop Ioasaph and upon a decision of the chairman of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, Mikhailo Vyshyvaniyk, the cathedral was transferred to the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchate.
The cathedral was restored by its parishioners. There was installed two-level, carved, gilded iconostasis and the artist Vasyl Chopyk performed wall paintings.
Nowadays, at the cathedral, there are choirs, Sunday school and the publishing house of spiritual literature. A service is held every day.
